Not sure exactly what you're saying, cheat up money? You need to atleast do some trading I think in order to get money and upgrade your ship to a fighter. Once you do this, things will get alot more interesting!

Well, if you insist...

First you need to search your computer for a file called SaveSlot1.json (or SaveSlot2.json or SaveSlot3.json, whichever slot your save is in). Where it will be depends on your operating system.

Open that file in notepad or a text editor then search for a section that starts with:

"CatalogIdentifier": "-1"

The line after that should be something like:

"Money": "123456"

Change the value there to whatever amount of money you want to have. Save the file and reload the game.

If you have Steam Cloud enabled you have to have the game started (but not the save loaded) when you edit the save file. If not, when you launch the game, Steam Cloud will restore the previous version of the save.

finally got it to work, if anyone else is interested seeing how the game is free right now. so open the game and stay in main menu, dont load your game, now go to APPData folder under your user, then open LOCAL then HeliumRain, then Saved, then SaveGames. youll see 3 files in there one being the save SaveSlot1.json in a form of a Zip or Rar depending what you have. now unzip it, then open the file with notepad or notepad++(i use this) then use the find tool or Ctrl+F, now paste this > "CatalogIdentifier": "-1" < now you'll see your section or company files here, edit Money, add after the last digit of YOUR amount, and dont delete the last two digits, you can also edit research points too, youll see it a few lines down. now SAVE, then delete the zip rar file and leave the file you edited there, then go back to the game and load your save game, the cloud will create a new zip rar file with the updated file and you should be good, BTW youre going to get two achievements Its Something and Monopoly, youll be the top company now if you put a ton of money, so if you want to get them the normal way, either set the amount lower than the company above you or keep editing little by little. theres other stuff to edit as well, but make sure you make a back up.

old thread but so is game: pulled it off the shelf, dusted it off. Dont rem anything about it, must not have played it much. Will try to play it normally and see if it burns any brain cells. Its nice to know it can be adjusted from a file and not from just ingame sliders. At least it can be adjusted but want to see how frustrated i get first, if all else fails will think about it. Think if i rem right it took alot of thinking which always gives me headaches. Older i get less i can use the thinker.

*after 7hrs game play all is good. Next time around is better this time. They could take this game and beef up the stations adding other stops and attractions to make an already good game better. The contracts are playing without a hitch (only thing i come across is the 2 electrical contracts which cant really fulfill unless you have built a station with production output yourself) since havent found any stations putting out electrical yet.
