This is due to Spartial / surround sound, i had this bug ages ago and it took me a while, you have to disable most special effects etc you might have enabled when running this game.

So for me i have to go into Steel Series App and turn it off and windows sound settings if its enabled in there too.

Sound worked after that, i hope this is the bug you have as its the one i had and no verifying etc worked but disabling special effects or audio effects and it worked.

If disabling the effects (If you use a 3rd party program to handle audio) try going to the volume mixer while the game is open, and forcing it to output to a particular device, bypassing the audio programs etc, Then restart the game, i have to fiddle with the audio for this game every time i re-install to play so it can be a bit of a faff
