- "No stuff locked behind payments" is a bit of subjective question, there are of course dlc's because that's what the devs make money from, these dlc's are mostly cosmetic however except for some dlc's which have campaigns too. and no combat parts are locked behind dlc.
- there's no grind what so ever except some grind in the pioneer campaign but I highly doubt it'll kill your interest in it.
- The devs are still updating the game and it doesn't seem like they plan on stopping soon
I bought the base game, played for a day and then bought the DLC. I wanted it all.
It is most certainly fun SP or MP.
I am waiting for the new DLC to drop. Any day now.
The one big problem you will find is that after playing TraiMakers, all other creative or crafting games will feel meh to you.
I don't do MMOs nor have I put any hours into the pioneers campaign as it's less about the deductive problem solving, like with the stranded campaign and more of a battle/resource grinding game tailored for multiplayer...
Realistically, no matter how much I despise the MMO path that pioneers set and are taking, this team cannot survive with the niche path that the stranded campaign established, so they need to make money, and MMOs are the best path for that.
But in my opinion they could do both, but in all fairness, the new campaign has yet to be released, so...
However, the devs do listen to the community, as they are now making the functional blocks going forward as free DLC, while charging for new campaigns/maps, as with pretty much all games do...
It has build free gamemode on all maps, sandbox.
It has singleplayer campaings, building puzzles, building fighting machines, building mixed of all sort of machines, on maps made for it.
Multiplayer is basicly a free for all maxed out mostly for 4 players. But again set with all the single player mechanics you want. Then its adjustable to make teams for free for all fighting. Team puzzle stuf. And again on any map that there is.
Take youre pick, for what i see its has no p2w mechanics at all, and those complaining have no clue what p2w actually is.
90% of my time is singleplayer building whatever i like in sandbox mode.
I think you can compare it to a digital form of technics lego, a bit more advanced but not much.
So far there is not a single issue, everything is just perfect, I will surely buy the dlcs during future discounts.
Here ya go m8 got anothere 100k in points left. :) ah what the hell lets trow some more at it, and lets be generous, christmass is early this year.
If you'd ever need help with anything feel free to add me, I guess its only thing I can offer.
More and more I play I get pissed off by the game and its bugs.
"Rubber Bandits" mission is impossible to finish, sent a mail to tech support and got no response for several days.
Physics are sometimes total joke, I can gently bump into a little hill and game decides to send me flying 5m above ground or destroy my vehicle completly.
Enemies sometimes climb walls and glitch into them, I cant finish them off and they can deal dmg to me.
No clue if its bad luck or just high % of it happening, but I constantly get tasks to transport froggits from one end of map to the other, its literally so annoying and gives so little xp, I rarely get tasks to destroy Botnaks or to gift resources.
So many negative points and I didnt even finish my first (Pioneers) campaing... I hope that other campaings are better when it comes to all of this.
