They're not exactly new. People have been doing crap like that since the weapon editor was released.

Hell, there was a guy who kept posting screenshots here of him with weapons with purple sharpness and him insisting he wasn't cheating.

You must be new here. I remember these one shot mods being around since close to launch. In fact, I remember an SOS I joined where a dude literally gave Nerg a heart attack and just said "go." I didn't go and carve, but opted to stand there and wait for the timer to run down and just said "not cool dude."

It's PC so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people are cheating.

There are already cheats that let people buy armor, weapons and rare materials with zenny or cheats that let people see exactly what HP the monster has left and I am sure one shot cheats have already been around

So, since Capcom doesn't seem like they care, what can we do as players?

As long as the cheaters don't let me find out that they are cheating or better yet, keep their cheats offline, I won't kick them.

You completely missed the point. Goodjob. I'm very bitter, annoyed and frustrated at Capcom for letting cheaters like this roam free.

It also invalidates your sense of accomplishment after you kill a monster because you realize any1 else can beat this hard asf monster with a simple dl of a mod from nexus.

It works on multiplayer that's the thing. And it's crazy how many pro cheaters there are here in the steam forums. I guess just a lot of peoole here cheat huh? Like so many people being so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ defensive and rude.

then let these players be. if you're in a game with these players then leave. theres plenty of legit players. you act like you bump into mostly cheaters in this game.

They do care, at least to some extent. I remember them DMCA'ing the "All Event Quests Available" mod and one of the more prominent trainers back in the day. Also there are console cheaters as well, not to the level of PC ones but they are there (especially save editors in Bloodborne).

Modifying values with CE was a thing even before the weapon editor came out. Cheaters have always been there, just in very small numbers. Doesn't this mod modify the basic iron weapons? If you're concerned about your boss getting one-shotted, inspect your party's equipment and kick whoever uses iron weapons. If they use those weapons solo, it's on them, but some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ will certainly bring them into multiplayer just to be "heroes".

The sad part is Capcom might take action against modding in general due to this incident.

Also OP, take a chill, no need to be an obnoxious ♥♥♥♥, we know you just discovered cheats, don't need to tell the world by spamming every single thread.
