Problems trying to run the game

So I get a new computer and install the game here, but when I try to run the game it only crash in a grey screen and show me this:

I also tried to reinstall the game and also verify integrity of game files but nothing changes

I am running on Windows 10 64 bits, Intel i7-4710HQ, gtx 860m, 12GB RAM.

Maybe read the Workshop Discussions, it seems something to do with the Steam Workshop Integrations update.

Either you can delete the Steam Workshop modtools and install the Github version, or you can try a clean install.

Yep, I found the temporary fix by moving the steam workshop folder to another location and now the game run without any problem.

Delete the file called Bootstrap.rpyc , then try running the game.

The issue is with that file.

Glad you got it working, though you are missing out on a couple good mods. :(

well, I mean, I don't have much time to play the game and still have a lot of things to do, so maybe I could wait until a patch fix that error, but it fixed deleting the bootstrap.rpy file.

That worked, I though that that file only caused problems when a mod don't get installed well, so I don't tried to delete him, what a fool I am xc, thanks for your help!

If anyone else has this bug, please mention it. At this point, we're still not sure what causes it for some people but not others and have been unable to reproduce it ourselves.

Make sure you have the Update for Universal C Runtime in Windows[support.microsoft.com] update installed.

Now download the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015[www.microsoft.com]. Make sure you install the x86 version regardless of if you're on a 64 bit platform.

So I installed the update (Only that there isn't the update for windows 10 for Universal C Runtime on that link) and Visual C++ and reinstall the game to get one more time the Bootstrap.rpyc file, and I can run the game without any problem using that fix.
It seem that is be some library problems.

i have a problem runneing the game.
and i onley have 7 hours of play time in it and seen onlay 2 endings.
i dont kow if someone has had this.
butt when i start it my screen gets bigger and i cant do annything.
i cant even get in the options.
or start my save file.
i tryed with my other games butt i had no problems there.
its like my screen resolution went up buy a thousend fold.
i never had this problem befor on anny of my games so if you can help me out.
i really want to complete the game.
so if you can help me to fix it plz let me know.

After you have started the game, try pressing F or Alt + Enter to put the game into fullscreen. Can you tell me what happens if you do that?

actualy i found that comlpetaly shuttingt off my pc and plugging its power out off the wall.
worked for some odd reason.
i have to admit i got angry and just cut its power.
so i am sorry nnot to be able to use your feedback to help you out to solve this.
for if someone else runs into this problem.
butt all keep this in mind for when this happens again.
and if that happens i wil use your feedback and come back to you.
to let you know if it worked or not.

It is possible with computers that sometimes one time glitches like that happen. Restarting the computer sometimes does the trick in those cases. Glad to hear you got it to work, and hope you enjoy the rest of the game!
