Very interesting question! I like to think about how things like this work in this strange and mysterious world. I like to imagine that the dragons have their own version of it in some ways or another

i dont think they celebrate thanksgiving because its more of an american holiday, like here in sweden we dont celebrate thanksgiving either, but im sure they have some other things they celebrate instead

also i think the area of the world we are in in the dragon world is the us part of north america if some of the dragons in other timelines saw the wall of fire from the comet

I could imagine them still having a holiday called Thanksgiving, but the meaning and culture around it would be very different because they don't have the original context.

Sort of like how they speak a language they call "English", but probably don't have an "England".

The way I see it they probably have their own holidays that barrow several elements from our own human holidays.

Depending on which part of makind found the portal, they might have the basic holidays like Christmas, Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Eve but with a different context for some of them. They could even have a holiday for their creation mythos or their own history like important events or wars

Spoiler for the true ending
We only know that it's a continent and 5 different humans with nationalities.

Heinz Foreman is most likely German (so Europe) or American (because of the last name)
Sybil Thomas is tricky since the first name could be Greek (Europe) while the last name might be German (Europe)
Francois Bordelon ist most likely from France (again Europe)
Otome Izumi might be Japanese. It is an island but since we know it’s a continent, we could say it’s pretty much everywhere. However, let’s just say it is Asia
Reza seems to be a Persian name (might be Iran, so Europe) but we don’t know if it is his first or last name.

So they all could be from the biggest continent of our time, Eurasia (basically Europe and Asia together) or America. With the current development, it could be a hint that either China became the most advanced or it was still America.
The people in the comic are having mostly lighter skin colors (so we might exclude Africa) and their names might be more fitting for America I guess (Gabe, Maria, Kenneth, Isabel).

What we saw from the world of the humans mostly showed a rocky desert, some mountains and a wasteland.
I sadly couldn’t find out the country of Radical Phi or the members. It could have had a lead since many developers seem to use their own country as inspiration for their games or at least dropping hints.

So all in all, we’d say that the dragon’s holidays might be influenced by either the company (and it’s headquarters’ country – I’d say America or Eurasia) or by the 4 creators (mostly Izumi’s) own holidays. Since we don’t know how long the 4 worked on their project we neither know how many nor which holidays they celebrated.

However, only Izumi cared about the dragons and stayed long enough for them to form a village that can survive on its own. I guess it would have taken a few years so in the end Izumi was the main influence for all dragon holidays.

So maybe the dragons have either American or Japanese holidays or a mix of both, depending on which holidays Izumi grew up with and which ones she celebrated,



fun fact: The dragonworld most like had 372 days instead of 365 and their days were shorter (longer than 21 hours and up to 23:30 hours)

Seems I was close with my theory. Hopefully we'll learn more about their holidays from the sequel and/or the comic
