Pikemen, as stated above, these would be perfect for this game because they used square formations IRL
Knights/Heavy Cavalry, also stated above, these could have a powerful charge but be very weak against pikes
Crossbows, does more damage than archers but takes longer to reload, maybe cheaper to train as well?
Musket men, would require a gunpowder building to train, would have the slowest reload and be inacurrate with short range but could cause enemy troops to flee out of fear and do high damage
Cannons, very powerful but expensive and slow seige gear.
Obviously these will take some time to add but they will make the game feel way more complete. Some other good improvments to warfare could be generals having good and bad traits that would effect troops, troops retreating after heavy losses instead of fighting to the death, if anyone has any other ideas for feture or units post them im curious to know what u think
