The devs went a little far with that one. You need to record the audio and play it backwards to hear the request properly.

Someone did go to the effort of recording the audio and playing it backwards and have posted it on this forum. The short answer is gold.

Thats not true Dusty because the Audio tape is different everytime. playing right now 240 days and had 4 times audio tape did two times gold and got only one time stuff. other time i got nothing for gold and used bones then and got again 1k then i tried brains and got again nothing

Sounds like way to much hassle haha, think I'll just ignore this one then :) cheers guys

like the guy on top said you have to record it and repeat it backwards to be 100% sure but giving gold is most the best idea because its not food. and better have no gold then no food right ?

Jeeze I was just happy with myself, I did in fact read the posts. You even said you "tried brains and got again nothing" also I don't have a food shortage. Rather spending all my gold on potions and weapons.

I've tried gold and wood so far, neither did anything at that time. As people have stated, it's random.

it sounds different based on what you need, you can play it back or memorise the sound. I have the gold one memorised but nothing else.

okay to solve this one, I had to download a stupid app on my phone called "Reverse Talk", recorded the thing on there and tried to understand the darn thing despite the background music blasting through the speakers. In my case the spirit said something like "I can't pay my passage to the afterlife! I can't reach my ancestors in the afterlife! I'm stuck here!"

which means he needs gold.

If you find that tape, you'll need a way to record audio files and play them backwards, then you'll be able to hear the puzzle AND THEN you'll know which item to give the ghost. I used Reverse Talk just because it doesn't ask to check any of your personal information and it's free.
