Trouble jumping when frame-rate drops.
Hello Climbeys!

I realise that, by and large, frame rate drops are a problem unique to each player, as it will be affected by your graphics card, however I'm not talking about universal frame-rate problems, but intermittent ones - two kinds in particular, and one can affect jumping <on the Vive at least>.

1) Frame rate drops when "CAM" is activated. Again, this may be more likely to occur if you are down near the GTX970 end of the spectrum, but I was experiencing frame stutter on large maps until I turned the CAM OFF (effectively all this does is give your screen/monitor observers a third-person perspective of you and your world). Turning this off - for me - made the game much smoother (your audience can now get motion sickness, though, as they try to watch from your perspective! :-P )

2) The second frame-rate issue is a little more difficult to understand; Whilst play-testing my first level (narnia-funny---business---by---spock), I found that one particular area, as you start to climb the first tower, was prone to stuttering. This was improved by turning off CAM, but despite deleting various components, and re-creating them (in case they caused the issue in some way) it remained. The good news is that it only affected a very small section of the first tower; as I entered it the stuttering increased and less than a minute later I exited the "stutter zone" and everything became smooth again - weird, and it may only affect me !

The only real frustration is if this happens in an area with lots of jumps, because - as I'm sure others have noticed in general - if the frame-rate isn't smooth it is much harder to jump and usually your stutter-jump falls short of the distance your arms were going for!

I welcome any similar stories, or other perspectives on whether the above-mentioned stutter-zone issue is noticeable on my map, in the same place :-)
