When I died from bleeding out, a random amount of my gear just disappeared after I went back to my body. I was at the Z1 weapon factory, got hit by a Laughing One, and opened my inventory to try and stop the bleeding (I checked there - nothing was destroyed by the explosion). When I came back, my backpack and some clothing items were missing. I know explosions can destroy gear, but as I said, since I checked my inventory right after the hit, I know for a fact that nothing was destroyed!
