Disgaea 2 will not launch.
The game worked for a couple of months but when i recently tried to play it it would get stuck launching and not launch. I have verified my files integrity and uninstalled and reinstalled the game. I saw some forums where you had to install oalinst manually from the local files and i think i did that right but the game still wont laonch.

i have the same problem. tried the same fix and still does not work.

Same issue, although I never got any of the text to load in previous attempts at playing it. At least it was cheap? But I can't play it so i am about to request a refund.

try adding this to where your .exe file is. its typically SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Disgaea 2 PC

I think you just need the x86 version, but install both the x86 and the x64 versions just in case.

You also need OpenAL: https://www.openal.org/downloads/
