I have my OpenAL32.dll AND my alut.dll
I still have the problem where steam will tell me it's running the game and syncing for a split second, then stop. This is apparently a common problem and it's kinda ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t that a well known title such as this, that I paid for, has such a critical and common problem. I'm sure the developers have a lot on their plate, I'm just disappointed. I'd rather not emulate game.
