When I go to start up Disgaea 2 PC, the pop up about the game launching appears, but nothing happens in the end. The border around my profile picture also goes green as if I were in a game, but shortly goes back to blue. Currently, I've tried verifying the files of the game, reinstalling the game, and reinstalling OpenAL. I'm kind of at a loss at what to do currently, and I'd very much like to play the game soon if possible. Somebody tell me if they've had the same problem and any solutions they may have.

EDIT:
Ok, I found the solution to the problem. I tried opening up the actual Disgaea 2 .exe and it said that OpenAL32.dll was missing. I looked around and found a download to a newer version of oalinst.exe. I replaced the outdated installer in the OpenAL folder found in _CommonRedist in Disgaea 2's directory and installed it, and now the game runs again. Hope this helps anybody having similar issues, download link below.
