Xbox360 Wireless Controller crashing the game?

So, every time my controller turns itself off for inactivity (let's say, strategic pauses for drink/food/rest) while the game is running, "the app has stopped working". Now every time I have to save the game before to avoid further stress. This issue seems to be happenning here since the very first time I ran the game. Anyone else getting this?

the xbox controller can also crash the game if you press one of the 2 shoulder bottons that normally execute/end turn during a cutsacene. instant crash =)

Start the game, then turn on the controller. That seems to "fix" the crashes for now. (When the controller disconnects, at least)

Same experience here. If the battery on the controller is low and the controller turns off during game or cut scene, game crashes to desktop. Has happened twice now.

For now, this is the only "fix" that really works. Thanks.

I have this exact same issue and it is super annoying. (xbox360 wireless controller)

I did not have this issue with the Disgaea 1 port but it happens frequently on this version. Sometimes I can go periods where the controller can turn off/on and the game doesn't crash, but it will crash every single time if the controller is on before you start the game then turn off the controller.

Yeah, but we can wait for a fix for this, and while we don't get it, this temporary fix will do the trick.

At least, NIS isn't like Koei/Team Ninja, that won't give a **** to the PC community.
