I still hope they fix the option menu and give Linux the window/resolution options.
Since the game stretches to fit horizontally, fullscreen/windowed big picture mode unfortunately runs into the same issue on wider aspect ratios.
Thank you for sending up a windowed mode request!
Make sure to change HDMI-0 to whatever your display is connected as.
Even if it was the SteamOS distro many monitors could have the 21:9 aspect ratio. I myself decided to purchase this as I saw compatibility for mac/linux. I think most linux users won't really be for the steam boxes, but will be using other distros for work.
It would work better if the window would put black borders to maintain the aspect ratio of the screen. Then you could also drag it to the right side for the "stack a window to half the screen size" thing to trigger.
I have a semi-janky modification to the launch script that at least lets the game run in a window on Linux.
Xephyr -br -ac -screen 1280x720 :1 &
export DISPLAY=:1
exec "${PROGRAM}" "$@"
However this doesn't fix the exit being broken bug. (Also, yes, I picked a 720p emulation for the window size)
UPD: yes, this problem is still there. Same for unability to exit game properly (and also something is wrong with controls, coz everything in main menu constantly scroll down, unless I hold some button).
Looks like nisa has proven their "incredible" (not) tech skills once again. Wake me up in another 50 years, when somebody will pick this game to re-re-release for quantum pcs with 16k resolution - going back to emulated version for now
