Just completed the game, but had two issues with the #4 control scheme combined with classic climbing:
1, When aiming with the crossbow/hook, the tool-tip states to press the B button to cancel. This however results in a dodge roll. The correct button would be Y.
2. After the last boss you'll have to ring the last bell the tool-tip states "X" for the action. However you also need to hold the climbing button down, otherwise your character won't hold onto the bell and immediately cancel the action.
