Motion "Skipping"
Hello, has anyone found a workaround for this? My game runs smoothly for the first 5 min, then the motion of the entire park "skips" frames for about 5 seconds every minute or so. I tried whitelisting the game on my anti-virus, no luck. Thx!
PS -Just "upgraded" to Win 11. I don't recall having these issues in Win 10, but it has been a while since I last payed this game.

Can you share video of what is happening?

Apologies, I don't post often and do not know how to upload video clips. I am just a casual gamer. It's fairly straightforward...the smooth motion is interrupted by skipping movements, like missing frames in a video. looks like everything is missing 6-12" of movement (in-game). It persists for about 3-5 seconds then it's smooth again for about 90-120 seconds, then it repeats. This continues until I restart the game. After restart, it's fine for about 5 min, then starts "skipping" again. It's not a show-stopper, but it does break the immersion.

the quickest fix most likely would be to run a repair on the application within steam or reinstall or upgrade your graphics card driver. I think the windows update from 11 may have impacted your graphics card so get it up to the current version and update your windows 11

Yeah, that makes sense. I will try those, thanks!

This and/or you have any overlay program which disturbs the Game Engine, e.g. I have problems with XBox Game bar or Discord Overlay.

Thanks! I tried Verifying game files and updating driver, but it still did the "skipping" after a few minutes. However, I tried turning off TAA and that seemed to do the trick!

Actually the TAA wasn't the issue as it started again, but only from certain angles and zoom level. Turns out it was V-Sync. I have an NVidia GPU, so I think it works better with G-Sync, so turning off V-Sync seemed to take care of it.

Typical user mistake. V-Sync is not the same as G-Sync/FreeSync and not always compatible, depending on how the engine handles it. But what you should know, V-Sync is old and sets the FPS to the maximum refresh rate of your monitor. G-Sync is newer, and is an adaptive Syncronization technology, the graphiccard tells the monitor how much frames it shall display and adjusts the refresh rate to it. So V-Sync is old, not needed. And you need to set the maximum FPS in the game.

Yep, already set at 120 fps. Thanks!

any time I've encountered something like this it had been failed ram.

Thanks! I will keep an eye on that. It's been perfect since turning off V-Sync.
