Newbie question about dirt colors
Alright I am sorry that this is such a newbie question. But of course its important to go for the right dirt.

So I am working on Tier 1 - just digging at that little spot by the river. What color dirt should I focus on? There is the dirt color that looks wet/muddy and then theres the dirt that I guess would be surface? Looks like sticks and rocks.

Heres a screenshot of what I mean:

Notice 1 is dark with nothing in it and the other looks like small stones. Which should I be focused on? Or does it not matter?

It's just optical, it doesn't say anything about the gold distribution.

From my observation: light brown is "dry" dirt. Dark brown is either "wet" or "aerate" like if you use bulldozer rake, it would turn from light brown to dark brown which is called "aerating" the soil. That's how I see it.
