Well, we just got news by the development team, so it would appear it hasn't been abandoned. This and it seems they'll have a discord server so with any luck we'll get to be more informed about future developments and/or updates.

i have the switch physical cart on pre-order.

Isn't it the same game from the DS ? So better graphism and that's it.

You say remake, but I'm not sure if you know what that means. This really just looks like a remastered.

The Ds version was based on the super nintendo version.
So the remake is really just based on the super nintendo original.

Front Misson 1st Remake is not a good remake for this generation. DUAL Gear is better than FM 1st Remake with all aspects.

Both games have a demo. You should play them. I am sure that you will see the differences with your own experiences.

That's only because it's a remastered and not a remake, so you're still working off gameplay designs based on limitations from 30 years ago.

But still, having a full game mode probably still pulls it in favor of front mission.

Unfortunately, the FM1 Remake is not good, too simple and boring. I had a blast with the first one 15 years ago, but this version is like read a grade 2 book, just didnt age well for me, it has dated gameplay and they didn change anything besides the graphics. I hope FM2 and 3 will be better.
