To be fair tf2 is like what, over a decade old now. And gets very few new fans. Most of the players are old and have already discussed everything they could ever discuss about the game.

I would argue against the lack of new fans. There's still quite a few that come in once in a while, especially in recent years.

Personally, I blame the steam point award system. It just gave trolls and ragebaiters a monetary incentive to aim for and it made them much more persistent.

literally no one ever talks about tf2 anymore, they put a political or social problem and slap tf2's name on it to get passed, every discussion is either talking about transphobia this or KillWindows that, or MiMi SeNtRy wah wah wah, it's never: What's your favourite TF2 weapon or cosmetic loadout or whats your favourite mode or map? It's just: Complaining, Fighting, and Ragebaiting (and failing at that) so, i will just ask y'all: What's your favourite map from what mode?

Thank Steam for that. Ever since they added awards giving points to whomever is awarded while spending your own points to give said awards, people just be obnoxious. It doesn't promote anything positive if you want the points, it just makes people want to troll more.
