The tarmac makes me dizzy
Hi there

Just dropped in to see the latest patch and it's shaping up to be very very awesome!

The only thing is, the tarmac realy makes me dizzy. After a few minutes of playing it starts to look like noise (the snow effect on old monitors). I can't play for 2 races before I have to alt+tab out of the game and give my eyes some rest.

Could be that I'm the only one with this problem.

Side note: I play the game with the Auto-zoom function off, because that feels more natural to me. It's still a bit too far off for my taste, so a Close--Medium--Far option would be welcome to the "No Auto-Zoom" funtion :)

Hi and thanks for your kind words and report.

There is actually an option to put the camera closer. Go to graphics options and change max camera distance to close. Page up/down should let you zoom to your liking.

This is the first report we've gotten regarding dizzying tarmac. We'll discuss what we can do about it. There's probably several causes to this. A more fixed camera with the option above should help though.

I've made a preset for my monitor to make it a bit more dark while in the game and that takes the dizzyness away for the most part.

The page up/down function is realy handy, I didn't knew that one! It only resets after each race for me, so that's a bit tedious but at least it gives the option to change the camera to your liking so I'm all for that!

Good. Thanks for the update. Maybe we should darken the tarmac a bit ourselves. Could be something to try. You could also try darkening the tileset image yourself in the meantime. It is at Roadclub\Content\graphics\tilesets.

Yeah I just noticed we missed showing those keys in options. We'll fix that. Will also look into saving the zoom level between races to save you the hassle!

Thanks alot! I think it where the speckles of white/gray that did it initialy, but a bit darker will work. Saving the zoom level will be very helpfull aswell!
