Is this game just busted or something?
We've heard feedback that the sensitivity of analog inputs on gamepads being both too sensitive and too non-responsive and made adjustments in the past. But I think to cater to all devices, it would be best if we allowed players to set their analog sensitivity to their device in the options menu. That way players would be able to set sensitivity to their liking based on each device they use.
The second issue you're experiencing sounds like an issue with controllers that are considered unknown or fit more than one input profile. Wishmere has two sets of control inputs: In-game and UI. This is because we wanted to keep UI control sets as uniform as possible so that when players decided to map their Jump button (which also is our UI Confirm button) to a weird notation, UI Confirm would still remain as the original Jump button input. Since there are quite a number of controllers available, unknown controllers when control mapping changes the in-game input, but not the UI input.
That's why you're having trouble selecting the character, as the unknown controller has no idea what the UI inputs are because unknown controllers do not have default UI mapping. So I think moving forward, we will have unknown controllers have UI control mapping follow player chosen In-game control mapping.
We would also like to get a profile working with the fightstick/controller you're using. If you refer to the Controller Thread we have, if you press Square (with a PS control) or X (with a PC/XBOX control), you can bring up a visual dialog that tells us the code name of the device you are using. If you could screenshot that and share it with us, we could improve control support for all players of Wishmere when we update our controller profiles.
We're looking to fix these issues pretty soon, as we really want to get Wishmere supported with as many controls as possible. It is an ongoing goal of ours, so this feedback is much appreciated. Thanks!
Edit: I finally found two controllers (Ones that arn't even listed as working) that finally work. I'll give you a list of all my controllers later (It's quite a few and is going to take quite a while for me to sit here and go through all of them and upload them)
How long do you think it's going to take to update, since I havn't seen any updates going live on this game in quite some time....
And then even when we got JUST TWO of our controllers to work, the game froze. Multiple times. Why are you even selling this? It's not listed as a beta or alpha, but it plays like one.
Back when Wishmere was in EA in 2015 up until release in September 2017, there weren't any reports of freezing on any of the three (Windows, Mac, Linux) operating systems and different computer rigs our players / QA testers used. They also reported using the Xbox360 controller as well with no issues. Also, the controllers listed in our Controller FAQ have confirmed to be working, as we and the testers own those controllers / fightsticks.
We'd like to fix the bugs you're experiencing. If you could share your specs and the OS you're using, maybe there's something we're missing that's affecting how Wishmere plays. Thanks Pixel Zed.
