Fern : thanks for rock god tycoon ! i had a problem loading my save game the last time i played it; there is a recent thread about location of the save file, so i thought i'd give this great game another try, i found the save file; my laptop has not gone down since i started playing this game again 2 days ago, i hope my save game is still there if i'm still playing when my laptop does go down; . if i load an older save, then load again, i don't have a problem loading my save game, i may not have been doing that when i had this problem a year ago; this is my favorite band management game, i like the simplicity of it; in rising star you spend most of your time driving the van, rather than making band management decisions; i have played the game you mentioned, it's pretty good; i'd like to see rock god tycoon 2; i'll let you know if i have any ideas for a sequel; i'm a former ibm mainframe business applications programmer, so i know the difficulty in coding; cobol , fortran , assembly languages wewe what i wrote in rpg 2 and basic, i hated programming ! thx again !

Rising Star 2 is pretty good.

There used to be a game called Rock Manager that came out like 20 years ago or something, that was developed by a Swedish studio. Unfortunately, during the 00's most Swedish studios went defunct and got bought by Paradox and pretty much all the IPs from the 90's (even the classics like Backpacker and Svea Rike) got killed off by Paradox after acquisition (Paradox = Swedish equivalent of EA). You may find it as an Abandonware or from second hand stores or eBay. I was a very fun game that I played a lot in the past.

Story of a band was quite fun,. It has some band battles instead of touring but still good as a rock band simulator.
