Great observation! I think the real take home message is to not try to place a ton of variety in your biodomes just for the sake of variety. Instead, find the recipes you want to use and then place those plants only.
A fix to the UI for that damn meal maker would fix this, I feel. Maybe something as simple as increasing its storage from 6 to, I don't know, a lot more than that.
I agree with you, Bomoo. I felt the issue could be rectified by simply saying Vegetable + Meat = Advanced Meal, whereas Meat alone or Vegetable alone = Basic Meal. That's the way I originally understood malnutrition to work and I feel like that would rectify the current problems people are having with it.
