This game deserved better
It should have been more popular. The world building was cool and I could see it expand into other media, like comics. It's also a shame there will likely never be a sequel.

i agree, i always find myself coming back to this game from time to time, i try to tell ppl about it. good game

Considering how well games like Vampire Survivors and many similar bullet hell types are doing right now, I think they should invest their time into making Death State 2.0 update. Maybe add some directed bullets from characters too

Absolutely. An autofiring 1-stick "twin-stick' game? Sounds a bit like the current trends of Vampire Survivor-type games.

You could say that or you could ask why they cripple themselves.
For example, i would like to get it on my Switch, but fact of the matter is, its only available in the US Switch Store.

Its a tough ground to stand on saying it deserved better, when the devs themselves are holding it back.

+1 that a major update or sequel to this would go down a storm in a post-Vampire Survivors landscape. Its "Dream Cycle on acid" setting has the potential to just keep giving and I'd always love to see more of it.

Pretty much everyone who actually worked on the game hasn't been at the company for years, sadly. The owners had no interest in putting more behind it. Still glad you all enjoyed it!
