So there is nothing grindy about it
or weapons sell only for 20%?
Be glad someone will give you even a little bit for all the garbage you find. Have you ever been to a pawn shop? Pick up a few of your things and then look how much you get there.
as for weapons, rusty $hit i get it
but when a regular sword that costs 500 gold
sells for 75 gold, now that is a ripoff
it should be at least 200 gold
Besides that the guy who buys it is doing it with a big risk. He gives you money and maybe never sells it because nobody wants to buy it.
Besides that since there is no economy in the game they set the prices for balance reasons. This means you get that amount because otherwise you would have too much money in the beginning of the game.
And as I said before the amount you get is even way too high because you can accrue about 60000-100000 gold during the game which is an insane amount because you will become like Croesus or Midas in comparison to everyone else. Even the rich NPCs don't have more than 200 gold normally
If they had balanced it right you would even get less. I would say 2-5 percent of the selling price would be ok.
a dex based sword that costs 500 sells for 75
whoever decided to make this game grindy as hell (1000 gold to join the fire mages)
is dumb as ♥♥♥♥
Gothic 1 was so much better than this, better camps, better characters and better world design
Gothic 2 is linear, grindy and lacks the immersion the first gothic had
i'll just F it and uninstall.
appearntly, you get high requirement STR weapons very early in the game
so i don't need to buy anything aside from potions and alchemy bottles to tank ♥♥♥♥ in combat
while the the system is flawed and you get pitiful money for items
as a str build, "earth mother provides all" seeing all those wonderful healing roots and organic wild grown swords are just everywhere if you know where to look
it's hard to swallow at first and gives you terrible hangovers
but after sipping for a couple of hours you feel the psychological need for more
even with the game treats you like $hit, even when the graphics makes your eyes bleed
you simply can't get enough of gothic
even though 1 was better, 2 is still great on it's own
