Unbeatable Zreluhm (final boss)
So I was doing a run, wasn't able to get a scroll of height and get the last piece of the flame sword, so I just got a lot of health and as much attack as I could and tried to fight the boss. For some reason after I killed any of the parts at his bottom he would say something like 'oh the little warrior has teeth, let's see how he likes the power of the soul stones' and that part would REAPPEAR, making it impossible to finish the run.

What was that? Are you actually unable to defeat him without the flame sword? Are you supposed to have at least one soul stone when fighting him?

You ARE able to defeat him without the flame sword. It has nothing to do with the soul stones. You may find hints in other discussions :)

The only other thing I see is someone saying to use a magic mattock to get around, but like I said I didn't have any soul stones (if I did I would have bought the scroll of height and completed the flame sword). I guess in the future I shouldn't use the 2 mattocks on -49 until I know I'll be able to get the one on -7.

Just to clarify, though, it's INTENDED that without the flame sword you can't defeat the boss' feet and claws, right?
