To Experienced Players - Try and Beat the Game in Under 37m44s
This game makes for a fun speedrun, though the RNG can kill many runs. Start with 0 soul stones. Time ends when you deal the killing blow to the final boss.

It's definitely possible to beat my time.

Your time record is quite impressive! I strongly suggest you try again with the Hell difficulty :)

Oh thanks for pointing that out, I hadn't written it in the category rules. Doesn't the hell difficulty just make it so you can't see what's on the different floors? Regarless, I don't want to do a run on that, since it won't be faster and I don't care to do things just because they're harder. If you want I can create the category and you can submit a run. Maybe then I'll consider trying it. It's honestly not that hard to get a decent time on Normal, give it a try!

Yes, label your score with difficulty would be nice :)

The hell difficulty is not just harder, but give you a different experience - you are no longer in control of everything in the levels you have been. And it kinda force you to memorize something, like, the place you encountered a merchant.

As the developer I would not to submit my run, because there's always suspicions of me cheating :steammocking:

If it's in the game it's not cheating. If you know something that will help you go faster, do it and beat my time, this way we keep improving the record. Many devs speedrun their games, but rarely do they remain high on the leaderboards.

Those were really good RNG, especially for the swords! How did you get that time panel with the record of each zone in your video? I want that too. Once it's set up, I'll try to beat your record ~_^

It's a program called live split. If you want I can send you my splits (configuration), but it's easy to make your own. Also you can make more or less split points, it's up to your preference.

Because in China, you can't access YouTube unless you have a VPN account or some other tools.

Got 1 minute faster than your record in my second run:

I think it's possible to make a record less than 40 min, although you need to practice, or be very lucky :)

This was an excellent run. The RNG wasn't AMAZING, but it wasn't bad either. I jus tplayed very well and very quickly. The ending is the best (swag strats for the ending).

Yeah, if your stats (mainly HP) are high enough, and you have an extra scroll of height, it is faster to fight the Genie instead of Zreluhm.
Yes, you can go ahead and reupload the run.
