After countless tries the game launched once.
I went through the tutorials with no issues, but as soon as I tried to explore a planet the game became a lag fest.

I exit the game and never managed to launch it again after that.

Any help would be very much appreciated here, the game seems to perfectly fits my taste.

Thank you so much for sticking and trying to fix the issues yourself. I'm very sorry to hear that you have to struggle so much to run Nimbatus.

To be honest, it's quite tricky to guess why it happens without knowing more info about your system. Can you tell me your operating system and system specs?

It depends if your computer struggles because of the CPU or graphics card, or maybe even slow harddisk?

Please try these things:
(gpu related)
- disable bloom
- disable antialiasing
- lower the resolution of the game

(internet related)
- try starting steam on offline mode and start nimbatus this way (maybe steam is the culprit)

The game should install and run under normal conditions, so we have to see if maybe your system has some quirks we might have to work around.

- Maybe also try to install the free Nimbatus - Drone Creator and see if you have the same problems there (is the same codebase, but you might never know)

Thanks for the answer, the issue was actually steam related I guess.
I reinstalled it and eveything works just fine now.

And congrats for the game it's really well crafted, I don't know how I missed it for so long.
