Tesla Quest not appearing / Can't research beyond electricity
There is a bug with the Tesla Quest. If you research electricity AND the Root/vine is still alive , it will cause you to not be able to get Tesla's quest. You also will not be able to do any further research.

To avoid this situation, make sure the Vine/Root is killed before researching electricity

If you are stuck, do the following:
1. Kill the vine if it is alive
2. After it is killed destroy all your batteries
3. The quest should now appear, and you should be able to proceed normally.

This will be fixed in v49

Hey there, I couldn't get the Tesla quest to come up until I planted the expedition camp over the hole having killed the vine ages ago.
Also, wasn't obvious that I needed to place the camp over the hole...did a message not come up - I was looking for the camp in the building lists. But just randomly clicked on the hole and the camp placed itself. Maybe a bit more explanation would be great for those in future you might be troubled by the same thing...thank you as usual!!!!

Bugs still present.
I killed the vine and "completed" the quest, but upon save and reload, I get the tooltip for Nuggola Tesla again. It acts like the quest isn't completed, but it is (and I am far past introductory electricity).
Not sure what is going on there but figured the feedback may be helpful.

I've had no vine spawn. Researched up to Electricity and no quest. Tesla became a farmer instead. Tried to un-assign him, but he just wandered around and died.

ive had the vine spawn, i killed it. i have electricity, n o batteries, but no tesla has never appeared and i cant research further. help!

i had to start a new game. But this time it all worked.

Placed the battery, but can't find any parts. No smoke plumes at all. The vein was slayed some time ago.

The vine does not show. This is not fixed after 3 years.

No parts have appeared, no smoke so cant progress, the vine was killed a long time ago and I dont have batteries.
