Adjacency bonuses, general principles...
These are important, for basic city output. They seem inconsistent; has anyone figured out any rules?
My 2 cents:
1 Science bonuses of Tahuk observatories seem to be listed on the adjacent districts, not on the observatory. Im looking at the other adjacency bonuses for science, but they are not adding up.

Any general rules for production and food would be appreciated. They are paritally making sense to me, but could use additional tips if anyone has them. thank you!

Honestly I'm not sure, I just build districts whenever I am not making those city wide upgrades, districts dont seem important for me, I manage to win by supremacy all the time i just kill and get power that way

As far as I understand, all adjacency bonuses are listed on the district that benefits from it. For example, a Lab would get +1 from a Communal Habitations, +something from an anomaly -- it is written in the description of the lab district, and it should be there if you hover the mouse over its output

yep. the one you need to remember imo is lab with +10 science next to anomalies, and trading post +10 dust next to extractors.

Science next to anomalies, Culture/Gold/Community centre - cluster in the center as they want to touch each other for at least double the benefits. Food and industriy - hardly worth bothering but around the edges to level up the other districts.
It's not the same as Humankind / Civ. As far as I can tell most districts get adjacency bonuses for having 4 districts around them, regardless of type (I think this includes the city centre). Labs also get a bonus for being next to anomalies and trading posts get a bonus for being next to extractors.

The 4 adjacencies is how you level up a district increasing it's base yields and sometimes other benefits based on the district and yes city centers do count
