AI doesn't understand the game's combat mechanics and limitations
Playing on Endless difficult. Mostly fighting against necrophages.

Especially bad in sieges... when I begin a siege... the enemy has 3-4 stacks of units in the city. They have approx 4-5 times my military score. Why aren't they attacking my sieging unit? I would be able to fight off the first 2v2 stack battle sure... but they would have been able to attack me 3 times and the attrition would beat me off eventually. Instead they wait for me to completely destroy the city walls and my 2 stacks can now beat the garrison + 1 stack.

Why are the necrophages sending single stacks vs my cities? they cant even get past an autoresolved garrison defence.

Seems the AI doesn't understand the basics of using quantity vs quality. And all that military score is completely wasted.

Yeah, ironically the necrophage AI is the lowest threat in the game.

Oh noooo not another swarm of 6 basic maggots! what will i ever do!

yeah right now difficulties are borked... and even new players with rudimentary basic understanding of the game mechanics would beat endless difficulty easily. :(

In my current endless game I'm going for a domination victory... even though I've technically already won the game via awakening victory on turn 140. (you can pick a different awakening goal so that the victory doesn't resolve and the game can continue)

I'm having impression the swarm is mindless and often used as excuse by Necrophages to disturb the realm.
Also yeah, Necrophages often to be the first eliminated in my games too. hhah
