And in your update you double down on it.

Do you have a graph on how many players played your game before and after you changed your victory condition. I will bet you have less players now than then. I quit when you doubled the victory condition. Sure the food one was a little to easy to complete but double?

I also think there is an issue with claiming provinces, it gets way to expensive, its so bad it ruins the immersion. Try play necrophage and then suddenly you cant expand anymore, because its a game and your forced to raze everything and be miles away from home after turn 150 or so.

Victory condition tied to difficulty is another bad game decision, I don't play on hard for that, I play on hard to have harder ai, battles with tougher enemies but when I beat those enemies I expect to have the same condition for victory.

I played on endless difficulty, my military was the biggest, i had the best tech but still defeat? i needed 27000 influence to turn burrows into cities. i remember i was on turn 155 and spend the last turns spamming end turn becuase i was waiting for a new quest. I had troops auto exploring around the whole world. at any moment i could crush all other ai in wars. my heroes were all level 10+ but i still lost. This game needs more quest and yes endgame needs to me touched on. also ballancing with influence cost for necro because i had to wait 27 turns to get a new city. and this building requirement creep is to aggressive it takes 7 turns to make 1 influence district? i had 2k+ industry... What I really REALLY REALLY LOVED was the quest that called back to other endless games. oh my god amplitute please do more of this. THe mention of isyander and auriga is excellent. please do this more

The victory conditions are being balanced for the current game speed with a turn limit of 300 and last tidefall happening about half way through that the win conditions are all way too easy. If you are upset about them taking longer that can be addressed once they start adding in the other game speed options.

As for claiming provinces necro do need to have some scaling looked at at the very late game but other then that it's actually incredibly cheap for the other factions to keep expanding and claiming land. Well over 1k influence per turn is really easy to get to, for me I get so much I stop spending it because I don't want to manage how much I could be spending
