Any of the races are in a good enough spot but I'd avoid necro because they change the most from the core mechanisms
hmm and no music?
its cos its ea?
so more food more citizen so more influence output?
And I don't see why the game would need a mini map, it has a great zoom in and out already
Easy mechanics and strong units.
Aspects are also good and can expand very easily. Their unit are decent in early game and very good later.
Necrophages are very strong but require to never stop fighting. They kind of break the rules so not the ideal faction for a first pick.
Early game with the Tahuks is a nightmare. Their first units are so bad that you'll struggle to Lvl up your hero. Winning your first battles without losing a single unit is almost impossible, even against a small squad of quest foes. First bastions are a plague. You can fall behind very quickly. To me it's the least noob-friendly faction.
