Did you try to reinstall the game? Are there other game controllers attached? Maybe one of them isn't calibrated correctly and blocking other inputs?

Just to stay secure: If you are playing in realistic mode, you have to switch the automatic gear to D (Drive) mode manually before you will be able to to drive forward.

When I switch to direct it starts automatically and moves forward without me even touching thing and i can only stop with the space bar
