Seems irrelevant. Looks like his last ban was also like 7 years ago
also melee kills dont trigger the ghost.
still tricky in nightmare, but having a fully upgraded lance melee weapon + ghost perk + that perk that increases your dmg when exiting invisibility, really helps
but they are still a pain in the ass. mainly in places where you dont have enough room to dodge the ghost or in densely crowded areas
1. too many enemies
2. no good starting area
3. too much aoe at once
4. kiting doesnt work sometimes and you just get overwhelmed too fast by aoe and too many different unpredictable things.
And this is kinda a zone 3 thing. Zone 1 and 2 from my small experience on hard seem to be wayyyy easier. Zone 3 is just learning specific rooms specific builds.
Theres no way people can guarentee successful runs even half the time. I dont believe it.
Yes they are beatable..but how often? Seems you just need a good run.
ghost blade = SUPER EASY
fast melee build = EASY (melee kill = no ghost)
stand on edges or objects = MEDIUM
shoot them one at a time (aim for head) = MEDIUM/HARD
those are top 4 methods that work just fine, but you sound like someone who rushes into room guns blazing and then you have big O.O eyes when you die cuz of rushing.
you gotta examine the room and wait for a good moment to engage. i've completed everything on nightmare and those ghost-things were least of my problems, they're one of the easiest enemies in zone 3.
they're suppose to prevent RUSHERS from RUSHING and judging from posts like this, they do their job flawlessly :)
I get that they don't release the spectres on melee kill, but it is silly to narrow all builds to have ghost blade to be viable in later difficulties. The game is a roguelike so we should be able to complete with all kids of different builds.
Headshotting isn't too bad, especially if you have an "aim" modifier - but with a hipfire build, or close range build then it is very cumbersome to aim all the time.
