Linux version

Update: we have managed to get a native Linux build working again, so the below information is now out of date.

The old Linux version was not well-supported. As of today we have removed this build so that you can use Steam Play for an improved experience.

Unfortunately you need to manually move your savefile from

$HOME/.local/share/a-good-snowman/progress.json

~/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/316610/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data/A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build/progress.json

(Where ~/.steam probably exists as a symlink to where Steam is installed but if not try ~/.local/share/Steam or wherever it is on your computer)

Other than that, everything should work as well as or better than before. Let me know if you have any issues.

Update: we made another attempt to get the native Linux build working again and finally managed it.

If you were playing the SteamPlay version in the interim, you'll need to copy your savefile as directed in the first post (in the opposite direction).

Thanks! :) I started playing the Linux version on Itch again a couple of days ago, and was reminded of how much I love this game. Great to have it on Steam too. :)
