It's bias. There's literally no reason to have any of it in the game. It doesn't take place in the US. Chinese devs making games for Chinese audience is all it is. They're utopian but the US is not. It's not liberty of expression or parody, it's propaganda.

I understand that satire is meant to be funny, but it's pretty obvious when they're all about how great China is and how terrible America is, and how democracy is a farce. At that point it's just typical coming from a Chinese company. It is also so out of place in an H-game. It's otherwise a fantastic game but that stuff is annoying when I paid for it. I'll be finding their other stuff elsewhere from now on.

Heck, they didn't even have to go that far. They could've just talked about Chinese fishing companies infringing on other countries' territorial waters, or predatory Chinese labor practices, or intellectual property infringements, or hacking of civilian sectors and selling them to the black market... the list goes on. It's pretty low-brow and has to be given some leeway, but yes there is some very light commentary about a minor issue. It pales in comparison to the blanket and prejudiced take on Americans. It's also just propaganda. Most Americans do not suffer like these devs think we do. The vast majority of us live pretty easy and happy lives. We are just a large and very diverse country, and also get WAY too much media attention on even the smallest of complaints. I've lived in five countries besides the US. I will tell you that every single one of them, from best to worst, has had their fair share of internal problems. It's just they don't get as much limelight from China because China has such a hardon for conflict with the US.

Maybe I'm being a bit groggy about this, but I have quite a few Chinese developed H-games in my library, and none of them have this stupidity. It just kills the desire to goon. And as a customer, I'm just voicing my opinion on the matter. But hey, it is what it is. I'll just avoid their crap in the future. And honestly, to be fair to the devs, the game itself isn't bad. I enjoyed it even without the H-content. It's just such a distraction when they put real political turmoil into the game. Like who is wanking and going "AW YES, THAT'S WHAT I WANT" other than a bunch of Chinese warmongers who get off on anti-American and anti-democratic rhetoric. Cringe. And when you cringe a gooner, man... you've gone pretty far out there.
