I have mainly gone through VNs outside those categories and even when sticking to non 18+ VNs you will see more male protagonists and I suspect that percentage is a lot higher when you factor in 18+ stuff. So not sure where you get the idea that you can mainly expect female protagonists in VNs. If one of the categories I described has your interest (Otome or Yuri) try to look for those. I have a feeling you will find VNs in those subgenres that will be up your alley. Maybe if you check out the Switch, you will find a majority of female protagonist VNs because Otome seems really popular on that system.
Edit: a good place to find VNs is vndb, you can search for specific tags (eg. Otome, Yuri, Female Protagonist, ...) and try to find VNs that way. A lot of them won't be translated, but there are plenty that are nowadays. I am sure you will find something you will be interested in. You can sort the list on how well they are rated to have a good start.
We are just from two different worlds. Otome games... I see as either bit sexist(atleast to me) or is for little girls. Perhaps tho im just a little too f*cked up, But i see such games has wildly off base from what i'd think most of us would want. Sex/relationships are to easy, to normal, A non vanilla dramatic story to safely experience in a game is (atleast for me) far more enticing. Just look at the subject matter of the game in question, do you really think i want a story about Mr perfect sweeping me off my feet and into a happy life?
As far as your statements about VN, I guess i could be out of the loop, in that I do not partake in regular VN's, Only Hentai related VN's, and All ive ever been aware of, have female protagonist's, Moreover It is but a subtype of H games coming out of japan, And almost all of these Japanese games have female protagonists, Be it a side-scroller, Rpg or VN. Just look at the Dl-site Line up. Now These games are.. weirdly still kinda aimed at guys, hence the aweful use of Shadow/faceless men, However Im BI, so The Male gaze scenes do not put me off, thus I get to self-insert into and explore some truly F8cked up scenarios. I am but a profiteer to the Strange dudes that get off on embodying a woman getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥ down. Such is how tragically scarce games/media aimed for us women are. It is why i have grown to despise the male protagonist, It is a monument to are exclusion. It is why I see other women, who are ok with playing as,'Him', To be nothing but Blind Traitors. I am otherwise a normal functioning middle aged adult, We all have are sore spots, And this is one a feel very justified in.
I typically don't mind which gender I play as in games, but I guess it depends on the genre/type of game. I am not sure how comfortable I would be playing more romance/H focused Otome games or Yaoi to be fair. I am glad they exist, people all have their own tastes, but it certainly might throw me off.
Anyway, I hope you can find more games you are looking for.

You know, I swear all i ever interact with on these steam forums are hatefilled immature people stuck in their own bubbles(Friend suggested i should just not post here), Im glad I could run into someone who has far more reason and maturity
I appreciated the short discussion as well. I always find it interesting to hear peoples takes when their perspectives are different from my own. The world would be a boring place when everyone had the same opinions and tastes imo.
While I have MASSIVE list of games Ive enjoyed and could give you, everyone's taste is different, especially in regards too what they can and can not put up with from these strange games coming out of japan. I want to be used and abused, These games give me a safe space to experience this. If you want an example of the depths of my kink, Look up some work by Asanagi, Where we women go to serve men like literal coats. Not all of Asanagi's works are good, alot of fetish catering means the subject matter is often very broad, plus the Balloons(they sometimes draws on us) make it very hard to self insert. Some safe sites(with adblock) are (Ehentai. org) and (Nhentai. net) (edited to remove direct link so as too not possibly break any rules). You'll get more english and less filtered content from Nhentai, which is a double edged sword, considering some of the sicking stuff people are into.
Hope this helps you or someone else.
Based on OP's statements and the fact that you use the word "sexist" while discussing visual novels that largely revolve around pron scenarios...
You're barking up a very wrong tree.
It's sexist for the games creators to appeal to their demographic? This game is made by Clockup. Go play the game that Clockup is most well known for. Euphoria. That should tell you everything you need to know in terms of maybe you should just avoid games from this creator if it's not up your alley... because by what you say it really isn't.
