Sell me, an exploration junkie who's not huge on survival, on this game!
Is this quote, from the review on GameCritics, still accurate? If so - KA-CHING!

"For players who prefer a less strenuous journey, The Solus Project offers a sliding difficulty scale from 0 to 100 . At zero, players no longer have to worry about food, water, or temperature, and the limited save system almost ceases to matter. This means players can freely enjoy exploring the alien world and unraveling its mysteries. This also eliminates what some might consider the essential tension of the survival mechanics and drastically changes the experience, but it’s to the game’s credit that it offers this option."

Caveats: I loved Outer Wilds until it just got too fiddly to get to the various places/revelations. Subnautica was also great in the Freedom mode; I eventually used Sandbox to just go ahead and finish the game quickly after a certain point. Considering whether to begin Below Zero soon.

Oh a great game and I played on easy. I did though collect all achievements which made it a great challenge for me, forcing me to look in every nook and cranny.

Also there was plenty of tension involved w/o the constant grind of food/water. Not my thing, didn't miss it a bit and I still had a grand time. Really, such a beautiful game and interesting story, play it now! : )

As oku wrote. However, if you are into an exploration games and you like mystery sci-fi stories, this game is a must.

I haven't passed Solus but i am playing on normal and haven't found the food/water to hard to manage, there are plenty of infinite source spots water dripping in caves and troughs plus refillable bottles, as for food there camps set up with pots of some questionable food in it but that acts as infinite food.

I played this game 8 years ago and I still think about it sometimes. So that's a thing.

After playinh and beating some other games I uninstalled those and am makeing room for this, to play for the 18th time now, its good, Hope to hell we get a sequel.
