The Guild 3 - Community Translations
Hello Friends,
Currently the Guild only supports English and German out of the box. We want to make the game available to all the planned languages.

Disclaimer
We are in no way affiliated with The Guild 3, GolemLabs or THQ Nordic. We are a community effort to allow more players to play the game in their native language.

If you speak two languages and have some time, join us!

Current Status
We are in the progress of translating French and Russian.
We are still looking for translators for Italian and Spanish!

How to translate
We compiled a wiki page with all the information about how to translate on reddit:

License
We will release these languages under the Creative Commons Zero v1.0 Universal license ( Details: https://choosealicense.com/licenses/cc0-1.0/ ). This will allow the developers to use these translations in their final product if they so choose. Please note that you will not be able to demand any rewards after the fact - we are doing this to help our friends that speak non-supported languages, not to make money!

Languages
We will start by trying to provide all the languages the Guild will support after Early Access.
Beyond that we will additionally provide translations for any language we can find community translators for. There are some technical limitations in regards to characters that can be displayed, we will try to find solutions for that!

  • Dutch ( 25% )
  • French ( 100% ) Install
  • Italian ( 20% )
  • Japanese ( 5% )
  • Korean ( 10% )
  • Russian ( 100% ): Install
  • Spanish ( 25% )

Wish to help in Russian, as I hold Russian and Ukrainian as Native languages. But in order to organize this, it would be great to team up with others who wish to do that. Though I have some doubts on whether Developers really need this, I will do my best. If you wish to do translations in Russian/Ukrainian, then you are welcome. My discord: Eross #3199

Thats great, but i have more problems bcs my language (czech) have some special characters that game doesnt include, in Guild 2 there was an options to edit fonts dds file to add some, but here im not able to edit AlegreyaSans-Medium.ttf16_sheet0.dds that game proably using for characters, bcs its all black and I didnt see anything inside the only one i can edit is cambria.ttf16.dds but game proably didnt use that, atleast not in menu. Is there someone who is able to add those characters for me ?? ( ě š č ř ž ů ú ď ť ň Ě Š Č Ř Ž Ú Ů Ď Ť Ň )

Looking at this you are right - only the cambria file allows editing. I will investigate into the format issues with the other files and see what we can find out!

I have no idea how game use fonts/characters from that black file, there is no alpha channel nothing.

@Occam's Chainsaw: We do not know if it will be officially supported. That brings a bit of trouble for us - languages with non-latin characters need a custom font sheet, so either we need to translate to pinyin, or we need to set up the sheets.

Currently we are investigating some weird encoding issues on the font sheets, and we are hoping for some input from the developers.

So; my family are expert Japanese/English translators, and its a big gaming market here... But what is the motivation to spend dozens of hours, translating, to make you Sell a shedload/$$$$$$$$$$$ of games here, again?

Sorry i don't have discord, but we can't try something else. Even by mail if needed. Translation is a basic job, problem is I don't know where to find what i'm supposed to translate.
