Additionally, integrating a Guild/Clan system or a color-based Guild system could enhance player engagement. For example, a color-based system similar to Pokémon Go or a Guild system like Fishtank Live could be highly successful. If a Guild has 10% of its active player base online simultaneously, they could earn a dedicated channel in Discord as a reward. Alternatively, players could donate to their Guild, such as 5 users contributing 1M corn points, to unlock a Discord channel for their Guild in the game. This approach was notably successful in Fishtank Live, significantly boosting viewer retention and engagement through additional mechanics like voting systems and live broadcast chats. These chats could be visible to all players or used to vote on items in the workshop. This method would not only encourage spending but also foster community building within the game.
Another idea is to introduce “Corn Plots,” humorously referred to as “Corn Plantations.” To enhance the game's clicker mechanics and add depth, there could be "Corn Plots," transforming the feature into an isometric city builder experience. Players can purchase a simple farmhand using cornpoints to help manage their plots. Farmhands need to be fed with corn-based food, such as cornbread, popcorn, or corn casserole, which can be bought from the store using cornpoints. Initially, only base corn is available for planting, allowing users to boost their corn per click and increase their cornpoints. As players progress, they can unlock and plant different types of corn, each offering various benefits and yields. Corn plots generate passive income, but only when the game is open, encouraging players to keep the game running and driving up the player count. Each player's corn plot is unique, allowing for customization and personalization. Players can visit each other's plots, share tips, and compete on leaderboards. Special events or challenges could be introduced to encourage collaboration or competition for rewards. This feature would not only enhance player retention but also create a more immersive and engaging experience.
