No More Room in Hell 2

Improve Melee Combat
Torn Banner did a great job with Chivalry 2, especially the melee combat system. You can choose between a slash, stab, or overhead using only your mouse and scroll wheel, and you can kick, jab, and dodge with the keyboard.
Devs, if you guys are reading this, I suggest you just bring that same system over to NMRIH 2 and adapt it for PVE. It's a solid, in-depth system the studio understands, and it's vastly better than the quick attack/heavy attack/block that's going on right now.

I would welcome your suggestion but I think the system they have in place now is serviceable. The aspect of melee that needs attention imo is the hitboxes and animations

I was really hoping that they'd have melee like Killing Floor 2, an Unreal Engine 3 game from 2015.

You could swing right-to-left, left-to-right, upward, downward, all just by WASD-ing in whatever direction as you swung.

But we can't have that in an Unreal Engine 5 game in 2025, apparently.

I agree about melee. It's not great. Certain melee weapons won't allow an overhead, top-down swing... why? Other than long ones when indoors, why can't I chop straight down with an axe?

And a basic zeke shouldn't take 2-4 blows to the head to put down. Most people are capable of swinging a weapon hard enough to kill a person in one blow, Zekes should be easier than a living person, because they are literally decomposing already and some damage is already present in the brain as it rots.

Also the whole blocking when one wants to kick thing is annoying as hell. Weapon variety shouldn't dictate if one can kick or not.
