So I tried booting up my game today and every single diary entry I had gotten up to that point was gone. I restarted the game and my computer, and reloaded different check points and still nothing. Is there anyway I can fix that? Or are they just lost to the abyss.

I'm mostly worried about it indicating that other things are missing on my save file. Then again all my game progress seems to be there just not the notes.
