"Steam must be running to play Murder Miners."

I know this has been going on for a long, long time, but I'm wondering if there's anything that could be done regarding this situation. I know it's all revolving around my graphics card. I've tried everything that I've seen, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, uninstalling and reinstalling MS XNA framework, simply restarting my computer, everything that I found online. I don't want to just give up and get a refund for the game, but this is ridiculous. Any game that makes its way to Steam should, at the very least, be functional. This is a childhood game for me, so it peeves me a little whenever I simply cannot play the game because of this gate-keeping like issue.

Pardon me for getting a little angry there, if there's anything else I could try, please feel free to let me know. If this takes too long, then I'm probably just going to get a refund.

GPU: Radeon RX570
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600

Hello Bl00f4rt,

I'll try to see why it's giving you this error message but first I need to know a few things. What is the OS that your computer is using? And did you reinstall the .Net 4.5 framework? This error message could mean a number of things and usually caused by the persons computer.
