They DO carry over. Or rather they should do. It's funny, I actually just started a new discussion regarding all my progress being reset for no apparent reason.

So your saying there is a chance my progress could be wiped but my progress towards achievements should be carried over to other play throughs of the game? I just want to be clear

Seems that way. I had previously gained 99 clothing items towards the Fashion Plate achievement. But after my game progress reset, I started a game and suddenly the achievement popped up on my screen, so I guess it registered the clothing items you start with (again). I still have no idea how/why this happened or if anyone else has experienced the same issue.

So for example if I started a new game there is a chance that progress from my previous game won’t carry over? And usually progress from one play through are supposed to carry over to other play throughs I’m just trying to be clear
