It just so happened that they would be passing though a very remote area that was the last known location of the Degasi. So another "space country" that the Degasi where a part of payed the "space country" that built the aurora to use its very well make scanning tech to take a look for them.

Yeah, the number of people they had for voice actors is a small one, so a lot of the characters you hear from in the game are played by the same people. With the person that did both of those characters, I agree, having a very recognisable tone of voice.
