Valley of the Wind! Help please! (minor spoiler)

Sorry if this question has been asked and answered already but here goes. Just made it past that stupid wind sequence where you dodge flying pointy bits everywhere, and now I'm down at the bottom of the Valley of the Wind and have to make it back to the Forlorn Ruins with Ms.Owl patrolling the area. After much trial and error I'm officially stuck. I tried going to the right, not enough time to hide from her. Tried using the lanterns to propel myself to the left, no place to hide. Tried giving her a Tootsie Roll lollipop, that didn't work either. As much as I'm digging the whole you have 5secs to hide or she gonna eat you up bit (talk about adrenaline rush) I'm getting kinda bored of dying over and over. I really hate that I have to ask for help on this but gotta do what I gotta do.So am I missing something?? Please help if you can!

Wow, the Tootsie Pop worked for me =/

lol jk, I'm actually stuck at the Nest X_x I have a crazy bug that loops that cutscene over and over T__T so I can't even get to your part.

Aw man that stinks :/ Yea I was sure the Tootsie pop would work but nope. Guess Mr.Owl and Ms.Owl didn't get married over lollipops.

If it's the part that I'm thinking of, where she's just sitting there waiting for you, I think you have to go above her and drop a rock on her.

Nope! The part I'm at is a bit further along in the game. She is literally in the background watching you and you have to hide from her within like 5 seconds or she will swoop down and gobble you up. I wish it was that easy this time around haha. Thanks though!~

I know the map tells you still to go back, but after you finished the ruins and got the scene with the owl in the background, you definetly must go right and leave the area, not going left again.

I'm pretty sure the part with the lanterns and you needing to hide from her involves shooting the green explosive armadillo to destroy the greenish wall abit further to the right. Was the only part I was stuck at for abit throughout that area.

Use stomp to dive through the ice. You can hide in the water.
