After some update(s?) I got some error messages upon starting Ori DE. First try led to a crash. The second one started the game, but Ori was red. His skin / texture was missing. Additionally I had a Server Connection Box (IP-Adress of the server that you could change manually and a button below saying "Connect") in the top left of the Screen the whole time. As this wasn't annoying enough, when I changed to the map view, the input box of the server IP adress was automatically selected. So I always had to click in the map first before I could move / zoom / interact with it.
The solution to the Ori skin problem was that I checked the integrity of the game files via the properties on the game page in the game library (Manage (cogwheel symbol on the right) -> Properties... -> Installed Files -> Verify Integrity of Game files). The Check found one file not working. It downloaded the file automatically and voilà: Ori looks super neat again and the Server connection Box also is gone.
Hope this helps. Have a cheerful day :)
