Try going into the Local Files and right-clicking the Alcatraz.exe, then go to properties->compatibility. I tried Windows XP Service Pack 2 and it ran for me when I had the black screen on the first loading of the game. Give it a minute or so for the coffee cup image on the lower-right of the screen to appear. In the game options I turned off V-Sync and set to 1080p with 2xAA. The game ran smoothly with little load times in between areas.

I'm running Win 10 with HD6950 card.
